> aeropuerto internacional de Chetumal
This architectural project is being developed at the Chetumal International Airport site in collaboration with Estudio Lamela, specifically focusing on the terminal that borders the runway and platform to the southwest, and the SEI to the east. Arising from the need to expand the Passenger Terminal and enhance its image as the "gateway" to the city, the project is divided into five phases, with the first four being developed initially and the fifth left as a potential future expansion based on the airport's needs.
The proposal aims to create an integrated architectural complex, with the terminal building serving as the centerpiece. As the most visible and frequented part of the airport, the terminal is designed with special attention to aesthetics, materials, and quality. Architecturally, the design features a unique roof with skylights to allow natural light, and patios are incorporated to blend nature into the space and facilitate climate control through natural ventilation systems.
